fathi 140 Posted July 24, 2013 Now you just sound childish... brother this world is not a fairy tale where everything has a happy ending. Sometimes we are put through tests and hardship. That muslims donated from this forum, who do not know nor have they seen you, should uplift you. No denies what you are going through and for sure it is not easy, but acting out like this is not the right response And We will most certainly try you with somewhat of fear and hunger and loss of property and lives and fruits; and give good news to the patient ones (155), who, when a misfortune befalls them, say: “Surely we are Allah's and to Him we shall surely return” (156). Those are they on whom are blessings and mercy from their Lord, and those are the followers of the right course (157). Surah Baqara 1) 1 brother had donated anything, 1. So your saying "That Muslims donated from this forum, who do not know nor have seen you, should uplift you." does not really apply 2) My problem, as it applies to the eviction, has been resolved. Insha'Allah you manage to pay the rest of the loans and pawns. [at]forum members I still urge all forum members who can help the brother in need to do so in this blessed month of ramadan. I'm sure they can forgive you for anything you said because you're in a big stress, may Allah subhanahu wa taala make it easy for you and for all Muslims, ameen.

fathi 140 Posted July 29, 2013 as salaam alaiykum brothers & sisters in Islam, My paystub was viewable today. I shall receive $447.88 . Our rent itself is $428. The payday advance is $470. (I by no means condone or excuse what I did when I was away from Islam as usury is always wrong) If we pay just the interest on the payday advance it is $70. The present electric bill is $279. World Finance loan is $70, the cash loan is $43, AT&T bill is $60. All of this is not counting the food (all we have presently is peanut butter and Ramen Noodles for 3 people) or gas money for the car. Rent is due on the 5th. The payday advance is due on the 1st. The electric bill is due before the 12th of August. World Finance is due on the 3rd. AT&T bill was due last week. I would never expect any single brother or sister in Islam to cover the entire amount of anything. But, any help is much appreciated. My paypal account un is theabdullahfathi[at]yahoo.com or if someone is able I can provide my bank acct number for a deposit. Again any help is appreciated. To those who do jazakallah and may I someday have the opportunity and blessing to be able to help someone out on here myself. note: pawns are no longer possible for us so rest assured this will never happen again and undoubtedly we have both learned our lesson as it applies to loans. fathi 140 Posted July 31, 2013 jazakallah sister, you have no idea how much of a blessing you are on this day. You have saved not only the situation as it pertains to my wife and I but also to my 3yr old niece who is here with us. We were thinking about sleeping in a car to cover everything, now we will not have to.
Gods Servant 11 Posted July 31, 2013 Abdullahfath – aren’t you “vskipper” on the Catholic Forum? I thought you were going to become a Catholic and you were taking catechism classes...what happen do you change your mind (again)?
fathi 140 Posted July 31, 2013 (edited) yes I am vskipper on the catholic forums, yes I was and many on here already know what happened. I discovered some things for myself. Many times I have faced struggles because of Christian upbringing but then I come back to Islam stronger in my faith than before and this time, believe me I heard the whispers in my head many times to leave, I have not left. There was no original sin in ancient Judaism. When one seeks only to serve God and sets aside personal believes such as the Bible or the Quran the truth can be found and every time I have come back to Islam. I find it particularly interesting that you see all of this and the only thing you can ask me about is this. The Muslim is the one actually helping. The bottomline is that Islam is the truth and in when you discover this you will discover true peace. I invite you to pray not in the name of Jesus but simply in the name of God and ask him what the truth is and then look at some of the Islamic websites and see what it says to you in your heart. www.islamreligion.com <- this is a good start whyislam.org chatislam.com Edited July 31, 2013 by abdullahfath
Gods Servant 11 Posted July 31, 2013 I see...fair enough. I remember one of the key reasons why you rejected Islam and embraced Christianity was because the offering of sacrificial animals as atonement for sins contained all over the Old Testament. How did you manage to overcome this obstacle?

fathi 140 Posted August 2, 2013 As salaam alaiykum brothers & sisters, update: Things have been really good for us in the past 48hrs or so. We have been able to pay on the loans we owe, and get some food but we are still going to be lacking in rent or electric depending. The problem was the late fee for rent. We paid the late fee which was $126 but after paying enough on the loans to keep us afloat until my school refund came in we are left with next to nothing until my next check. My next check will arrive on the 14th of this month (August) and will be a little over $400. Rent is $428. Electric is a little over $500. Rent has to be paid by the 5th or a late fee is taxed on of $50. After that we have until the 20th to pay it in full (including late fee) or we are evicted. The electric is flexible and will work with us for a couple hundred or so. I implore my brothers and sisters in Islam to really help us out, if you can, in this as it the last thing we really. Again all help has been deeply appreciated. Ramadan Mubarak. The way to be able to help if you can and want to is to go to paypal.com ... my account is: the abdullahfathi[at]yahoo.com If there is any question on how to go about this do not hesitate to message me. Any help is appreciated more than you might realize.
fathi 140 Posted August 4, 2013 Salaam alaiykum brothers & sisters, obviously we will not have the rent money by the 5th but if we do not have $470 by the 10th we will be forced to choose between having electricity and paying rent. It has already been made clear that they will not work with us as it pertains to the amount or the time. I implore any of you even if it is only a couple of dollars please help us. fathi 140 Posted August 5, 2013 Salaam alaiykum, on this most holy of nights I implore, I beg of anyone who is able to try and help us. All we need to raise right now is $428 and we will be okay, not ideal but okay. Our local masjid has said that they will help us, some but anyone that looks it up will find this is a small community and there is not a lot of resources available to the masjid. So even if they do help us it will may not be enough. All thanks and blessings for those that have helped us, those that have prayed for us. All blessings to the Ummah. fathi 140 Posted August 8, 2013 Salaam alaiykum brothers and sisters, eid muburak .. jazakallah to those who took it upon theirselves to help someone they do not even really know
fathi 140 Posted August 10, 2013 As salaam alaiykum I hate to do this but we are so close it would be a shame to fall under for so small an amount. We have managed to cover much thanks to the masjid and it looks like come September we will be out of this hole, and will be able to climb our way back up again but we are $50 short of rent because of a tacked on late fee. Anyone who is able please help us overcome this final burden and begin our way out of the financial hole that we have fallen into. I would not even ask if it was something like $200 or something like this but it just seems so wrong that we are so close to being free of all this. If need be I will even be willing to pay someone back come the 3rd of September as I will be having some money come to me then.
shaidmahmood 4 Posted August 11, 2013 Have you tried talking to your rent collector asking for some leeway? Can you not get a local shelf stacking or cleaning job at the local shops? Have you tried any of the above?
fathi 140 Posted August 11, 2013 I do not know what shelf stacking is. Rentors here do not give leeway. And someone already helped.
dot 353 Posted August 11, 2013 Assalamo alaikum Alhamdo l'Ellah that someone helped you with the shortage so that now you can pay the rent in full. This topic is now closed.
