Although self-learning is a good first step to learn Arabic, it is always preferable to seek guidance in order to learn properly.

How the noon sakinah and tanween are pronounced?https://www.gawaher.com/topic/743503-how-the-noon-sakinah-and-tanween-are-pronounced/ Basically the Noon Sakinah is a Noon (ن) devoid of any vowels; namely the Kasra (كسرة), fatha (فتحة), and dammah (ضمة). In the Quran, the noon Sakinah can be depicted with a Sukoon (سكون) above it or without anything above it at all like this (ن). It is important to note that both have the same pronunciation and are called Noon Sakinah.

But the tanween is an extra Noon Sakinah used with the Kasra (كسرة), fatha (فتحة), and dammah (ضمة).

If you are interested to listen to the pronunciation of the noon sakinah and tanween take a moment to read this article: Learn to read Quran with Tajweed Rules: Noon Sakinah and Tanween

Arabic diacritics (Tashkil)https://www.gawaher.com/topic/743498-arabic-diacritics-tashkil/ Diacritics are usually forgotten; however, they are extremely important in order to learn Arabic pronunciation. Diacritics (تشكيل), pronounced as Tashkil, literally means Forming, which is its main function, since Arabic letters on their own, without Tashkil, do not show proper guidance as to the proper Arabic pronunciation. Therefore, learning diacritics goes hand in hand with learning Arabic.

If your interested to learn more check this article: Learn Arabic Diacritics: Tashkil

Al-Hamza, Is it a letter or a diacritic?https://www.gawaher.com/topic/743496-al-hamza-is-it-a-letter-or-a-diacritic/ The letter

Hamza does not originally belong to the original 28 Arabic letters. It is, however, derived from the Arabic letter Aein (ع). It is most often seen atop or below the letter.

But it is still considered one of the main vowels in the Arabic language.

What You Need Before You Start Learning Arabichttps://www.gawaher.com/topic/743314-what-you-need-before-you-start-learning-arabic/ What You Need Before You Start Learning Arabic

Most courses and books assume you already know the alphabet and can read and write Arabic. And to a large extent, this is a valid assumption because most students have been reading the Qur’an since childhood.

But not all students are Muslim and have been reading since childhood. Moreover, when learning the Qur’an as a child, most Muslim children were not taught in a correct manner. It is vitally important to learn reading and writing skills even if you already read the Qur’an.
Here we have given you just a basic crash course on the Arabic alphabet and reading/writing to get you started.

You are highly encouraged to take a course on Arabic script. Remember, even if you read the
Qur’an or even if you are an Arab, if your goal is to understand the Qur’an then you need the most advanced Arabic. And reading, writing and the alphabet are no exception... you need to relearn these things the right way.

Understanding Quranhttps://www.gawaher.com/topic/743177-understanding-quran/ Assalamu Wa'laikum,
Recently I've been thinking about reading Quran with understanding. So i tried to find some online site where i could learn Quranic Arabic. But all of them seems paid to me. And I'm not able to pay.

So I thought an alternative. Here's my idea:
I saw an paid course offers 400 words and 10 grammatical rules. Which will cover almost 80% of Quranic Arabic. SO if anyone can give me this kind of short list of words and grammatical rules then i'll Try Online translator and local scholars. with the help of them I can understand the words and then The Quran InshaAllah.

How To Make A Basic Arabic Nominal Sentences In 2 Steps ?https://www.gawaher.com/topic/742797-how-to-make-a-basic-arabic-nominal-sentences-in-2-steps/
  1. How to make a basic Arabic nominal sentences in 2 steps ???
    1) In Arabic, unlike in English, you can have a sentence with no verb at all , we don't have verb to be (e.g., am, are, is, etc.) like English.

    2) If you want to use this words in sentences :
busy (مشغول) - book (كتاب)- useful (مفيد)- boy (ولد)- smart (ذكي)- food (طعام)- delicious (لذيذ)....
    in English we will say:
    Ahmed is busy
    The book is useful
    The boy is smart
    the food is delicious

In Arabic put them together without verb to be (am - is - are):
    Ahmed is busy أحمدُ مشغول
The book is useful الكتابُ مفيد
The boy is smart الولدُ ذكي
the food is delicious الطعام لذيذ

Here are some words ,try to make your own sentences encouragement.png

pen (قلم)- cheap (رخيص)- computer (حاسوب)- expensive (غالِ)- weather (جوّ)- hot(حار).

Learn Arabic Alphabet Lessonshttps://www.gawaher.com/topic/742556-learn-arabic-alphabet-lessons/Salam Alakium, my name Mohammed. I teach students who want to learn arabic alphabet from home. Many people want to learn how to read arabic texts. And either its too expensive or the teaching method is not reliable at all. Live lessons in my view is too costly and not worth the money paying $300 just to learn a language is nonsense, and a free app or cheat app is also nonsense as well. Because such apps don't have a proper method to ensure the student learns. I wanted to learn how to read arabic since I was young to be able to understand Arabic and Quraan and deen lessons and I thought its nearly impossible but I joined a course that was taught at a Islamic University and that is the course I took and base my own course that I teach now. The course consists of 20 pre-recorded video lessons that are based online and since they are video lessons that means the student does not have too attend classes at a certain time. I am the only Arabic instructor online or offline who's website has a A+ rating with the BBB. My course is also affordable as well its only $15 most courses a or even books costs more then this. I used to teach my course at udemy but they are lying cheaters so I returned my course back to my own website and I reported udemy to the BBB and they will get a F rating review my them very soon. My course is based on the course by Dr. Philips which is based on the course by the King Abdullah University in Jeddah. This course doesn't teach vocab or anything only teaches how to read and write Arabic texts. There will also be a Arabic course 102 which will be free unlike Arabic reading 101. In Arabic reading 102 we will be practicing how to read Quraan the last juz and all Islamic courses will be free on my website. You can view 3 lessons free as a trial before you sign-up.

Basic Arabic For A Quick Entry Into The Qur'anhttps://www.gawaher.com/topic/739791-basic-arabic-for-a-quick-entry-into-the-quran/

bismillaahi-r-rahmaani-r-rahiym In the name of ALLAAH The ALL-Merciful The Most-Merciful

Let us call this Lesson One

The aim of these lessons is to help understand the basic Arabic language in order to quickly begin to enter the Qur'aan inshaa allaah. The Qur'aan is as vast as the whole creation and beyond so it does not mean that if one knows the entire Arabic language then one automatically will understand the whole of the Qur'aan. The Qur'aan contains dimensions of knowledge.

There are two verses of the Qur'aan that I have been studying now for about thirty years and I have not yet succeeded in giving it a satisfactory translation. I am wring a book about those two verses that could amount to almost a thousand pages. It is called The Qur'aan Cosmological Model (I have made a thread about it in this forum). Many scholars have sat in its company and they were all amazed at it. Even the world famous Muslim scholar Shaykh Ahmad Deedat was astounded at it when he first sat in a lecture back in 1993. He called it the greatest thing he came across in all his life. Before he died he conferred upon me his kufiyyah (religious cap that he always wore). It was the first time that he conferred it upon any one. May the mercy of ALLAAH be upon Shaykh Ahmad Deedat.

These lessons resulted out of a discussion between aburaihan and me. Hopefully he will continue from here to greater heights and institutions inshaa allaah. Whoever wish to join will add to all of us rising higher in our knowledge inshaa allaah.

Let us begin. Read carefully what is written on the following diagram Ar.001: The Parts of Speech

Ar.001.png

In the next part of the lesson we shall study some vocabulary (words of the language) inshaa Allah. Ask if you need to know anything or confirm to continue.

Lilmuslim Arabic Alphabet Android App For Muslim Kidshttps://www.gawaher.com/topic/742303-lilmuslim-arabic-alphabet-android-app-for-muslim-kids/
‘LilMuslim’ is an Islamic smartphone app designed for Muslim kids and assists them in learning Arabic alphabets in a fun environment. It features a wonderful user interface with fun environment, cute characters and games through which learning Arabic becomes all faster and easier for them.

Download LilMuslim Arabic Alphabet Android App for Muslim Kids

lilmuslim-arabic-alphabet-game.png

Features

The app starts by displaying a house with the word ‘enter’ on its creaking door. Upon tapping it, you are taken to a screen where you choose between three different levels upon swiping across the screen. At first, you are only able to access the 1st level and the later levels are unlocked as you progress in the game. The aim in all the levels is the same: to identify the Arabic alphabets but the environment changes.

First level

The first level is very simple and easy. A little cute creature appears on the screen which asks you to spot a
certain alphabet. The required alphabet also appears next to it. This way, it becomes very easy as the child just has to match it to the ones on the balloons. Above it, there are balloons dangling around and one of them contains the alphabet that it wants you to find. You have to burst the right balloon by tapping on it.

Second level

After clearing the first level, you can play the second level and in this level you are given a hint for the alphabet that you have to find. You have to then select that alphabet by tapping on it. In this level, the alphabets appear to revolve on a wheel. Hence, this game is also a great tool for the hand to eye coordination.

Third level

At third level, you have to find the alphabets hidden in a park and you are given no hint for the alphabet. The child has to inspect the park closely and tap the respective ones that he has to find.

Lilmuslim is a greatly helpful app as learning Arabic is the first step towards learning the Holy Quran. It is especially helpful for those parents who sometimes don’t get the time to play with their children, they can now give a smartphone to their children and they will be amused till the game ends.

Sadaqallah Ul Azeemhttps://www.gawaher.com/topic/742033-sadaqallah-ul-azeem/Salam, I would like to request a WORD by WORD translation of "Sadaqallah ul Azeem".

I've come to know that it means "Verily Allah speaks the truth" but what does Sadaqa mean? Sadaqallah? Azeem? and how do they work together.

Thank you.

Another word by word translation is someone would please take some time to explain:

Labbaik Allah humma labbaik - O my Lord, here I am at Your service, here I am.
Labbaik la sharika laka labbaik - There is no partner with You here I am.
Innal hamda - Truly the praise
Wan-ni'mata - and the provisions are Yours,
Laka walmulk - and so is the dominion and sovereignty.
Laa sharika lak. - There is no partner with You.

What does "labbaik" mean? "Here I am"?

If labbaik means "here I am", then the second line Labbaik la sharika laka labbaik should mean "Here I am, There is no partner with You, here I am."

"Allah Humma" means "I'm at your service"?

Please explain. Thanks.
